Laura Ivens Brandão

My name is Laura Ivens Brandão, I am Portuguese, I have a degree in Civil Engineering from the Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon/Portugal (1994) and a Master in Conservation of Historic Towns and Buildings – by the Centre d`Etudes pour la Conservation du Patrimoine Architectural et Urbain, R. Lemaire” – Katholieke Universiteit Leuven Belgium (1996).

Effective member of the Order of Engineers.

I have developed my professional career in the last 28 years as Project Manager, in some Portuguese and more recently in an international company , mainly in the area of building construction projects.

I have a proven track record in managing and delivering complex projects on time, within budget and to established safety/quality standards.
I have extensive experience working on building construction projects such as office buildings, hotels, schools, residential and commercial buildings as well as greenfield projects.

As a Senior Project Manager, I have full responsibility for all key aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, such as project planning, tendering and cost control, scheduling, permitting and overall management and execution. To achieve this, I am used to collaborating with architects, planners, engineers, contractors, lawyers and high profile clients, playing the role of Developer or Investor.

I consider myself a highly motivated, goal-oriented person, a team leader, with a proven ability to work in multicultural environments, and I believe the time has come to take the next step in my career.
